Stator Bikes is a family-owned e-bike company in Brisbane, Australia. We build street-legal electric bikes for families, commuters and weekend explorers — and we believe every ride, even the school run, can be the best part of your day.
Started in a Brisbane warehouse, still in a Brisbane warehouse
We started Stator Bikes in 2023 because we were already riding everything with wheels and a battery — and we wanted e-bikes that were fun, well-built and honestly priced, backed by people you could actually talk to.
Three years on, that's still the whole model. We design and spec our bikes, land them at our Tingalpa warehouse, test them ourselves (and yes, our kids test the small ones), and support every bike we sell with a 2-year warranty handled right here — not through an offshore ticket queue.
When the rules changed, we changed with them. Properly.
Australia's e-bike laws have tightened — and in Queensland, new rules now set hard limits on speed, power and who can ride what. Plenty of brands responded with fine print and "off-road use only" stickers.
We took a different path. We re-engineered our entire range to meet EN15194 certification: every current Stator is limited to 25 km/h, tamper-resistant, and fully road-legal in every Australian state. No grey areas, no wink-and-a-nod marketing. If we sell it, you — and your kids — can legally ride it.
It cost us time and it cost us speed (literally). We think it was worth it, because a family bike brand that can't put its riders on the road legally isn't much of a family bike brand.
Built with parts you already trust
We don't make wild claims about mystery components. Our bikes run Samsung battery cells, Shimano drivetrains, Tektro brakes and Kenda tyres — proven parts, chosen so the bike you buy keeps riding like the bike you bought. Spares and support come from our warehouse, not a shipping container's worth of waiting.

We're not a faceless web store. Visit our HQ in Tingalpa, Brisbane — chat with the team, compare models side by side, and test ride anything in the range. Bring the kids; that's usually who decides anyway.
